What We Coat

USA Weld Express applies industrial paint systems and powder coating in-house, giving your fabricated steel a durable protective and finished appearance. From our Houston facility, coating is the final step in a complete, one-roof fabrication. A good coating protects fabricated steel from corrosion and wear while delivering the finish appearance you need. Applied over proper surface preparation, industrial paint and powder coat extend the life and improve the look of a part. Because we fabricate and coat under one roof, parts move from welding through surface prep to coating with no outside handoffs, keeping the whole job on one schedule with consistent quality. We serve industrial, equipment, and structural clients across Texas who need durable, well-applied coatings on their fabrication, delivered on time and ready to install.

In Depth

Precision CNC Laser Cutting in Houston, Texas

Painting and powder coating is the finishing step that protects and completes fabrication at USA Weld Express. Applied in-house over proper surface prep, our industrial coatings give your steel durability and a finished appearance.

Coatings That Protect & Finish

A coating does two jobs: it protects fabricated steel from corrosion and wear, and it gives the part its finished appearance. Bare steel exposed to moisture and the elements corrodes; a properly applied coating creates a barrier that dramatically extends service life. At the same time, the color and finish present a professional, completed look. We apply industrial paint systems and powder coating to deliver both protection and appearance on the fabrication we build.

Powder Coating

Powder coating applies a dry powder electrostatically to the part, which is then cured under heat to form a tough, uniform finish. The result is a durable, attractive coating that resists chipping, scratching, and fading better than many conventional paints, with an even finish and no drips or runs. Powder coating is well suited to parts that need a hard-wearing, consistent finish, and it’s an environmentally cleaner process than solvent-based painting. For components where durability and appearance both matter, powder coat is an excellent choice.

Industrial Paint Systems

For many industrial applications, paint systems are specified — primers and topcoats selected for the service environment, from general corrosion protection to demanding chemical or weather exposure. We apply industrial paint systems suited to your requirements, building the coating up in the specified layers for the protection the application demands. Paint offers flexibility in specification and is often required to meet particular industrial coating standards, which we apply to match your spec.

Proper Surface Preparation

A coating is only as good as the surface beneath it. Even the best paint or powder fails prematurely if applied over mill scale, rust, or contamination. That’s why proper surface preparation — cleaning and profiling the steel, often by abrasive blasting — is essential and something we handle in-house. Correct prep gives the coating a clean, sound surface to bond to, ensuring the durability and adhesion the finished part needs. We don’t skip this step, because it determines how long the coating lasts.

Fabricate & Coat Under One Roof

Because we fabricate and coat in the same facility, your part moves from welding through surface prep to coating without leaving the building. That eliminates the delays, handling damage, and coordination of shipping fabrication out to a separate coater and back. One team is accountable for the part from raw steel to finished, coated component, and the whole job stays on one schedule with consistent quality throughout.

Why Choose USA Weld Express

With 17 years of fabrication experience and in-house coating, USA Weld Express delivers durable painting and powder coating as the final step of a complete fabrication. Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you apply coatings in-house?

Yes. We apply industrial paint systems and powder coating in our own facility, so parts move from welding through surface prep to coating without outside handoffs.
Powder coating is a dry, electrostatically applied, heat-cured finish that’s very durable and even; paint systems use primers and topcoats and offer flexibility to meet specific industrial coating standards.
A coating is only as durable as the surface under it. Proper cleaning and profiling — often by abrasive blasting — ensures adhesion and long coating life. We handle prep in-house.
Fabricated steel components — equipment, structural parts, frames, and assemblies — needing corrosion protection and a finished appearance.
Yes. We fabricate and coat under one roof, so one team takes your part from raw steel to finished, coated component on a single schedule.
