What We Build

USA Weld Express fabricates pressure vessels to code and specification. From our Houston facility, we roll shells, weld to certified procedures, and test the finished vessel — capability that’s expanding with our new plate roller. A pressure vessel contains contents under pressure, which makes its fabrication among the most demanding and code-governed work there is. Every material, weld, and test must meet the applicable code, verified and documented. We bring rolling, certified welding, NDT, and pressure testing together for vessel work, backed by material traceability and documentation. (Verify current ASME stamp status with our team for your project.) We serve oil and gas, chemical processing, and power generation clients across Texas who need code-quality pressure vessel fabrication delivered on time and fully documented.

Our Work in the Shop

In Depth

Precision CNC Laser Cutting in Houston, Texas

Pressure vessel fabrication is among the most demanding work USA Weld Express undertakes, and we bring our full quality system to it. Code vessels rolled, welded to certified procedures, and tested — with capability expanding as our new plate roller comes online.

What Is a Pressure Vessel?

A pressure vessel is a container designed to hold gases or liquids at a pressure substantially different from the ambient — tanks, receivers, columns, drums, and similar equipment used throughout process industries. Because a pressure vessel stores energy in its contents, a failure can be serious, which is why pressure vessels are governed by rigorous codes covering design, materials, fabrication, welding, and testing. Fabricating a pressure vessel means meeting those code requirements at every step, producing a vessel that safely contains its design pressure and can be verified to do so.

Code Fabrication & Quality

Pressure vessel work demands the full weight of our quality system. We weld to certified procedures (WPS/PQR) with qualified welders, examine welds with non-destructive testing, maintain material traceability with mill test reports, and prove the vessel with pressure testing. Every element is documented, producing the complete records that code fabrication and inspection require. This isn’t ordinary fabrication with paperwork added — it’s a disciplined, code-driven process where verification and documentation are built into every stage, from material receipt to final test.

Rolling, Welding & Testing

A pressure vessel combines the capabilities we bring together in-house. Shells and heads start as plate rolled to accurate diameters — capability we’re expanding with our new plate roller. Long seams and joints are welded to certified procedures, with submerged arc and other processes producing deep, consistent, code-quality welds. The finished vessel is then pressure-tested to prove it holds its design pressure leak-tight. Rolling, welding, and testing under one roof, all to code, is what pressure vessel fabrication requires and what we provide.

Expanding Capability

Our pressure vessel capability is growing. With a new plate roller coming online, we’re expanding the range of shells and vessels we can fabricate in-house, strengthening our ability to take on vessel work from plate through finished, tested vessel. As this capability comes fully online, we can handle a broader scope of pressure vessel fabrication with the same in-house control over quality and schedule. We’re glad to discuss your specific vessel requirements and current capability with you directly.

Verify Stamp Status for Your Project

Code pressure vessel work often requires specific certifications, such as the ASME stamp, depending on the vessel and jurisdiction. Certification and stamp status can change as our capabilities expand, so we ask that you verify current ASME stamp status with our team for your specific project before proceeding. We’ll be straightforward about exactly what we can provide for your vessel — the certifications, code compliance, and documentation available — so there are no surprises on a code-critical fabrication.

Why Choose USA Weld Express

With 17 years of fabrication experience and a full in-house quality system — certified welding, NDT, traceability, and pressure testing — USA Weld Express fabricates pressure vessels to demanding code standards, with capability expanding as our new plate roller comes online. When your project needs code pressure vessel fabrication, delivered on schedule and fully documented, talk with our team to confirm current capability and stamp status, and we’ll deliver accordingly.
